The 30th session of the World Heritage Committee
This year the UNESCO World Heritage Committee meets in Vilnius (Lithuania).
The provisional agenda shows beside the usual points like evaluation of World Heritage Sites and new nominations some very interesting topics:
Global Strategy for a Representative, Balanced and Credible World Heritage List
9. “Evaluation” of Outstanding Universal Value
10. Progress report on the evaluation of the Global Strategy: Filling the Gaps - an Action Plan for the Future
reference:http://whc.unesco.org/archive/2005/whc05-29com-20e.pdf
I already reported on the GAP-Report. Now we will see if the
UNESCO World Heritage Committee will follow the suggestions of ICOMOS.
Also the topic
Working methods and tools
12. Performance indicators for World Heritage
Quelle:http://whc.unesco.org/archive/2005/whc05-29com-20e.pdf
seems to be interesting: Which Inidcators will be suitable to show the performance of World Heritage?
Some information on the 30th session of the World Heritage Committee is available on the website of UNESCO's World Heritage Centre.

Hi Matthias,
Thanks for going through my blog. Your website is certainly nice and informative.
I am a conservation scientist and doing my D.Phil. in salt damage to historic buildings. I wish that I would be able to work for WHO/UNESCO someday.
Best,
Satish

Best wishes!
