After the revised rules each state can only propose one object to be included in the UNESCO World Heritage List per year. So Germany had to decide beetween
Regensburg and the rejected proposal of Heidelberg.

Now Germany will propose Regensburg to be accepted as a UNESCO World Heritage Site 2006.
The World Heritage Committee will decide about the application during its 30th session, that will be held in Vilnius from 8th to 16th of July 2006.

Some information on Regensburg can be found at Wikipedia.
